Primark Saint or Sinners Eye Shadow Palette

I got this eye shadow palette from my mum for Christmas. Haven't used it much though, there are some nice colours but the pigmentation is not very good at all and its very powdery.

It costs £4, they don't have this one in store now but they have similar palettes available.

This is going to be another photo heavy blog because I was experimenting with the settings on my phone camera - yes I take my photos with my phone, it actually works a lot better than my camera when taking things close up from things faraway definitely camera.

I also apologise in advance for some of the photos being upside down - forgot to turn them the right way up lol

The eye shadow comes in a cardboard box like this - the packaging is so pretty

inside there are 10 shadows and there are names for each one which is quite surprising seeing that usually only high end eye shadows have names - it reflecting the light because there's a plastic cover over it.

Theres also a big mirror which is also a plus

it also comes with a brush which is double sided - one end is a sponge tip applicator , the other is a flat brush

the colours from the top right, Vanilla (white shimmery shade), Bamboo ( a shimmery light beige colour), Dusk (shimmer dark purple with hint of blue) , Cosmo (bright pink with slight coral tone and silver glitter),  Curfew ( dark shimmery blue), Galaxy (Shimmery brown), Matted (Matte black), Rockstar (shimmery bright purple) , Charcoal ( Black with silver glitter) and Emerald ( shimmery green)

the brush that comes with it - the brush side is useless, it doesn't pick up any shadow

a better picture of the colours

Swacthes!

These are the colours swatched several times, some of the colours were very hard to show up - like bamboo no matter how hard I tried it just won't show up
From top - Curfew, Cosmo, Dusk, Bamboo, Vanilla

From top - Emerald, Charcoal, Rockstar, Matted, Galaxy

What I like
  • Cheap
  • Pretty colours
  • Comes with a mirror
What I don't like
  • Not pigmented - I couldn't even get bamboo to show up
  • very powdery therefore not very long lasting
  • the box can be quite flimsy
  • the flat brush that comes with it is pretty useless
But I guess for £4 this is pretty good but I will not be buying any more primark eye shadows in the future

Avon big colour glossy lip pencil

hey guys I'm finally doing another makeup review, today its my current favourite lip product - Avon's Big Colour Glossy Lip Pencil, these are jumbo lip pencils that provide you with colour yet have a glossy finish .

This was one of the products I got when i bought a surprise bag along with another few lip products.

I have it in shade Glossy Mauve
There are 6 shades altogether

I can find this on the US website but cant't seem to find it on the UK site:(

From Avon website:
"Get your lips in kiss-top shape with color that’s big and juicy! Glossy lip color and liner in one. Glides on smoothly and lasts for hours. Sheer-to-medium coverage. .10 oz. net wt."

Ingredients:
BIS-BEHENYL/ISOSTEARYL/PHYTOSTERYL DIMER DILINOLEYL DIMER DILINOLEATE
ISOCETYL STEARATE
DIISOSTEARYL MALATE
POLYBUTENE
SYNTHETIC WAX
SILICA
GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE
SYNTHETIC BEESWAX
PENTAERYTHRITYL TETRA-DI-T-BUTYL HYDROXYHYDROCINNAMATE
TOCOPHEROL

The colour is very sheer but that's what I like about it

before
after - sorry for the different lightning

What I like:

  • Very easy to apply
  • Natural looking colour
  • Nice glossy finish
  • Did not dry the lips
What I didn't like :
  • Will need to sharpen, therefore lose product especially when it's very soft
  • Not very long lasting  - had to reapply very frequently
Will I repurchase?
Maybe - cos I want to try other colours too

collection 2000 lasting colour gel liner review

So this is my first ever gel liner so bearing in mind that I don't really have anything to compare with.
So this is the gel eyeliner from collection 2000 or better known as collection now since its changed its name but somehow all their products have 2000 attached to it.  I personally prefer the name collection 2000 its a lot more unique than collection

Price: £4.99 currently £3.99  (which i'm kinda annoyed about could of saved a pound)
where to buy: boots. superdrug or wherever sells collection 2000 products

Description (from collection website)
- These intense colour pigment pots will give up to 12 hours lasting wear, for a glossy finish to your essential eyeliner look.
- An applicator brush and handy hints on the back of the pack mean these lasting and easy-to-apply colours will give a professional finish that lasts!

Packaging
It comes in a small box unlike other gel liners that I've seen  which either come in a long box or the brush is part of the lid, the eyeliner is in a glass box with a plastic lid which is quite good considering its a drugstore product.

There's a little brush that comes with it which is pretty useless and i can't show you cos its so little and i don't use it that I've lost it :( sorry

the little box
ingredients - sorry its blurry my phone camera won't focus:(

instructions on how to use

Texture
very creamy and opaque
I've had this for 2 months now and it hasn't dried out though the edges kind of look like it has but then i do store it upside down

Okay it looks like its dried out a bit at the edges - bit its still very creamy !

Application
I have found that giving it about 2 strokes will give you a nice opaque line and if you need to change it do it quick cos it will dry out and will be really hard to budge!

swatch - sorry for bad lighting
Overall
Pros:
  • compared to other gel liners this is the cheapest one that you can find in your local drugstore
  • smudge proof
  • water proof
  • nice packaging that you can store upside down to prevent from drying
  • compared to other drugstore brands it has a wider range of colours - black, brown, yellow and a turquoise colour
  • suitable for people like me who have monolids cos it won't come off when curling lashes
Cons
  • the brush that came with it is useless
  • may not last as long as 12 hours that is stated
Rating - 5/5
Repurchase? yes, definitely

jigott bb cream review

so this is my first proper blog post yay! so what am i gonna be doing it on i hear you ask well... have you heard of bb creams? they're basically all function foundation\tinted moisturer with things like whitening, spf, wrinkle improvement and help with acne. they were formulated by German doctors for their patients after laser treatment and was later developed into the bb cream we know today by south Korean cosmetic companies. skin79 being the most famous brand of all, but today im going to talk about my first bb cream. my aunt got me this in Hong Kong it's called jigott anti blemish bb cream. it's got Paris on the box but it's covered in Korean lol.
so let's talk about the product, the box is very pretty! but when you squeeze out the product it's very yellow but very light texture. it's easy to blend but coverage is bad iv just kinda even out my skin tone that's bout it and even applying second layer it looks cakey:(
