Lush Fresh Face Mask - BB Seaweed Review

This post has been in my draft for months, sorry for being so late. I have been so busy with school work that I haven't really had time to post anything:(

I got sample of this when my mum was buying some hair stuff for her friend
From Lush website:
"For softening, cooling and reducing redness.
Honey, seaweed and aloe vera to soften and soothe. Olive oil to moisturise.  Fresh rose petals and rose absolute to reduce redness. Rosemary oil to regenerate the skin. All of this is held together with kaolin, ground almonds and millet flakes – so when you wash this off you are also gently exfoliating and removing dead skin"

you can see from the texture that there are big chunks of seaweed which at least proves that there really is seaweed in the mask. However it is the big chunks of seaweed that makes applying this mask a hassle, they keep falling off your face!
I wouldn't say I notice much difference from this mask but then I only used it twice, but if you have sensitive skin you might want to give it a go. I do prefer Love Lettuce for a mask that's for all different skin types it's just a lot easier to apply!

Lush Love Lettuce Face Mask Review

This post is on popular lush fresh face mask - Love Lettuce
I have only used this twice because I had a sample of this.

LOVE LETTUCE £5.95/75g

Love Lettuce is Vegetarian Approved

Fresh Face Masks

Lettuce show you the way to lovely skin
This mask is a seaweed gel with exfoliating granules through it.
Ideal for those who want to clear away dead skin and brighten the face, whilst also gently treating it to softening ingredients.

Quantitative Ingredients (from Lush website)

Agar Agar Gel, Kaolin, Honey, Fullers Earth, Glycerine, Almond Oil, Ground Almond Shells, Ground Almonds, Lavender Oil, Chlorophyllin, *Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume
*occurs naturally in essential oils

However even though this mask is called Love Lettuce it actually contains no lettuce.

in real life the colour is more green, the camera has washed it out.
Even though it doesn't actually have lettuce it surely looks like it does.
the mask smells like lavender, which is not surprising seeing that it is one of the ingredients, the scent is not overwhelming like most lavender scents but refreshing.

What do I think?
After only 2 uses of this mask I have found my skin to feel softer, this mask is suitable for all skin types so everyone can try it out, however apart from that it didn't really do much.

Will I buy the full size?
Might do but I want to try the other Lush masks before I buy ones I've before.

Have you tried this before? What do you think

Garnier 2 in 1 Soothing Makeup Remover Review

You might remember seeing this in my haul post ages ago but only just had the chance to write the full review

I'll be introducing to you my favourite eye makeup remover I have ever tried - but then the previous ones I tried were ones that were really cheap Superdrug own brand, the old one not so sure about the new one because they have repackaged their own brand products recently. The other one I tried was from Wilkinsons own brand skin therapy which costed 98p. Don't buy those because they don't remove makeup! The best they do is remove eye shadow but leave  your eye liner and mascara completely intact even Vaseline does a better job then they do!

Anyways back to the Garnier Soothing 2 in 1 makeup remover, I got my from Superdrug when it was on offer, I think it was 2 for £3.99 which is a really good deal, for one bottle you can get it for £2.99 which is still a good price.

It's a 2 in 1 makeup remover so it can be used for eyes and face. I usually remove my eye makeup using this and then use the remainder to remove face makeup before using my facial cleanser.
It has two parts, the blue oil part which is what is needed to remove heavy duty makeup like waterproof mascara and the white part which to be honest I'm not really sure for its for.

It's suitable for sensitive eyes and skin because of the 3 nos properties, no perfume, no alcohol and no rubbing - so basically no drying out the skin because there's no alcohol and no premature wrinkles!
Even though it says there is no perfume there is a floral scent to it, probably from the plant extracts

This is from one swipe and look all the makeup is gone!

Pros
  • removes waterproof mascara and gel eyeliner
  • affordable
  • no rubbing
  • has a pleasant floral scent
  • does not irritate eyes if it gets into eyes
  • easy to get here in the UK
Cons

  • have to shake it every time
Will I buy it again?
Already have!

Hey guys how have you been? Sorry for the lack of proper posts been so busy with school :(
Today I will be reviewing my first concealer, this is the collection (2000) lasting perfection concealer.
I can't remember I mush I spent on this but I checked the Boots website and it costs £4.19. I got mine from Superdrug

I bought this before I got into reading beauty reviews, this seems to be a pretty hyped up product and probably one of the most mentioned products from collection 2000.

Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Shadow In On and on Bronze

Today I will be reviewing a super popular Maybelline colour tatto in On and on Bronze.
This may be known as Bad to the broze in other places.
I don't really understand why they've got different names because they are the same product lol

from Maybelline website :
Dare to wear our longest-lasting shadow.
Our ink technology creates super-saturated color.Cream gel smoothes on for vibrant color that does not fade.

This retails in the UK for £4.99 which is really good considering you get a lot of product

I chose this colour because this was the most wearable and pigmented colours from the UK range, they only have 7 colours here in the UK :(

I usually wear this under my eye shadow, usually my eye shadow would of faded within a couple of hours but with this it lasted the whole day!

MUA intense colour eyeliner pencil review

Today I will be reviewing my first ever MUA product, intense colour eyeliner pencil in snow white, I got it from superdrug for £1. It's such a bargain!

For those of you who haven't heard of MUA which stands for Makeup Academy it's a very affordable brand with all the products under £4!

You can find MUA products either  from Superdrug or from their website . They ship internationally as well.

Description from MUA
"Intense Eye Liner Pencil which produces a precise and well defined line for accentuating the eyes with an intense colour finish."

I originally bought this to line my waterline, I have read that lining your waterline with white liner will make eyes look bigger but when I tried it, I looked really weird so I ending up using this using it to highlight my inner corner and my brow bone.

It stays put the whole day just with slight fading, the pencil is also really creamy so it goes on really smoothly with no tugging at all

A sharpener is also included in the lid

the swatch look how pigmented it is!

What I like:
  • Cheap only costs £1
  • Creamy and soft
  • There is a sharpener in the lid
  • Very Pigmented, a little goes a long way
  •  blends easily - good for highlighting!
What I didn't like:
  • When applied on waterline can uneven a bit uneven
Will I buy again: Yes, I want to try the other colours

Overall I think this is an amazing eyeliner especially with the cheap price tag that comes with it  and a sharpener!

Yay first post of September! Today I will be reviewing my new bb cream , skin79's vip gold bb cream
it has whitening, UV protection spf 25 PA++, Wrinkle Improvement

My friend got me this from Hong Kong, I was actually hoping she will buy me the hot pink label but maybe I didn't tell her which one I wanted so she bought this one instead? Doesn't matter cos i really like it! :)

ingredients
print screen from skin79 website

authorisation  sticker. remember to look out for it!

it has a slightly grey tint to it

blends into skin nicely

left: before,                  right: after
I haven't really noticed any whitening to my skin, but than i don't wear makeup everyday, and I'm not really at the stage for wrinkle improvement so I'm not sure about that. For SPF I don't think i have gone any darker - thank goodness I'm already quite tanned!

I love the scent to this bb cream, I've read some reviews saying it has a floral smell well I think it smells bit like wheat. I really enjoy putting skin on my skin lol  ( it does say it contains rice grain on the skin79 website so maybe its that which makes it smell nice??)

What I like :
  • feels light on the skin, doesn't feel like I'm wearing makeup
  • looks natural
  • doesn't look cakey
  • brightens my complexion
  • covers pores on face quite well
  • nice scent
  • very moisturising, doesn't dry skin out
  • easy to apply - just use your fingers!
  • blends easily
  • the packaging is very sleek
  • doesn't go on my glasses
What I don't like:
  • oil control not very good, but then this is for dry skin and i have oily skin so its the wrong bb cream for me
  • doesn't cover the pores on my nose as well, sinks into them a bit
  • doesn't cover spots
  • the pump can be a bit unhygienic as some of the product is till there after you pump it out, I saw a fake one on a blog and it can a cover over it , that would make it more hygienic, shame the real one doesn't have it lol
  • not very travel friendly, its definitely more of a on your dressing table kind of bb cream cos of its packaging
  • can't see how much there is in the bottle :(
  • would have to either buy online or in Asia
Will I buy this again?
Yes! but I want to try the hot pink one before I buy this one again because that one has sebum control which is more suited for oily skin.

Dermal White Collagen Essence Mask Review

Hey guys this is the third post today yay!

I'm here with another Dermal sheet mask review, this time its the White Essence Collagen  mask

Sorry for the lack of photos and description of product in this post

the ingredients which is pretty similar to all of the other Dermal masks

What I think
This sheet mask did something that none of my other masks happened before, it starting to dry out before the recommend time - which is 20 -30 mins for this mask.
Now this is not good.
I have heard from other people that if the sheet mask starts drying out that means that the moisture is going back into the sheet mask :(

The mask itself has a pleasant slight floral smell and I do feel that this mask does brighten my face so there's a plus as well as not having an uncomfortable feeling that I sometimes get from sheet masks

Rating
3/5 for drying out before recommended time!

My Beauty Diary Apple Polyphenol Mask Review

Today I will be reviewing my first My Beauty Diary Mask - the  Apple Polyphenol Mask

My Beauty Diary is a popular Taiwanese skin care brand - especially famous for their sheet masks

Living in the UK its very hard to try out Asian skincare unless I go to Hong Kong for holiday. I really wanted to try My beauty diary since I first heard about it especially the  Apple Polyphenol because its for enlarged pores which i suffer badly so when my friend offered to let me try one of the masks I said yes straight away! :)

This is a print screen of the description from the My Beauty Diary Website

Okay some of you might thinks its fake cos NEWER My Beauty Diary masks are very thin and transulent, but the one I tried is like a regular sheet mask because this is the older version - I'm sure it's real because my friend got it from Sasa when she went to Hong Kong

there's a clear film that comes with the mask

its a bit big for my face :(

What I think
It doesn't really smell like apples, the smell is very subtle a bit like flowers?
Seeing that I've only used this once I can't really tell if this has improved my enlarged pores.
Its quite hydrating and feels very fresh on the skin.

Will I Buy This?
Yes, definitely I want to see if there will be any improvement if I used it continuously - when I do get my hands to try this again I will write a more detailed review :)
